Sounds good Phil!

Sidd, I highly recommend it because it will help you debug to be able to sniff BLE packets and test with a working MetaWear API. Eventually we will come out with our BLE specs but it is a low priority right now.
-
siddrajput,Can you try to reverse engineer it form the LED function/API calls in the android code?
-
Jeremy, There are I2C examples in the android and ios docs, www.mbientlab.com/iosdocs
-
The MetaWear C will have the replaceable coin cell batteries. That should fix your problem!
-
bestname, We can do board exchanges for free if you want to (just send me an email). When you first get your board, they are put in a low power sleep mode (for shipping transportation purposes) and it requires a plug-in + plug-out + plug-in of…
-
Tyler, Sweet add-ons, any specific ideas on what you are going to build?
-
Marc, Check our Eric's post: http://projects.mbientlab.com/using-multiple-connected-metawears-with-android-api-v1-3/
-
Also did you try to hold down the switch when plugging it into USB. That will force MetaBoot so you can reflash the MetaWear with the MetaWear Apps.
-
Did you try using different devices to connect to it? An Android phone, an iPhone, or a table, or a combination of devices? Also did you check if it was in the MetaBoot state?
-
Hey Tyler, We haven't released the SPI firmware update yet because of the MetaWear RG / RPRO release. We will let you know when SPI becomes available. Can I ask what kind of peripheral you plan to use with SPI?
-
bestname,Thanks for the feedback and update!

siddrajput,If you take a look at the low level Java code for the vibration motor API call, you can reverse engineer the Bluetooth packet (down to the byte) you need to send to the MetaWear board. Then just send the same packet using your Linux comm…

Do you have an engineer or technician that can help you? If you applied a Voltage, you must have applied a Current. Based on your description you likely applied too much current and potentially damaged the MetaWear board. It would be good if someone…

Yes it is possible. You can log at 800Hz for X amount of time when you reach X threshold. Please keep in mind there is a finite amount of memory and data at 800Hz will fill it quickly. You can send that 800Hz data log over Bluetooth at any time.
-
Please post information about your circuit setup. How was your ground hooked up?How much current did you apply to that GPIO pin? They can't source/sink that much current or you will damage the board permanently.
-
Mark, The MetaWear RG and the MetaWear RPRO have a gyro on them. The MetaWear R only has an accelerometer. Please check out these papers for more information on calculating angles using an accelerometer: http://www.freescale.com/files/sensors…

Hey JpEncausse, I'll have Eric and Stephen take a look at whether or not we can do the timing and motion depended advertising. if not, it would be something we could add in future API releases.
-
hey bestname, Yes it is possible with the current state of the API; I would recommend streaming data at no more than 50Hz to handle that many devices. You also have to check on the Android documentation page to see how many devices your Androi…

Hey Sidd, 1. I work with low power sensors (1mA is a monster for me). 2. 1.2mA is "safe" enough for the GPIOs so you can feel free to try it. Pin 11 can actually sink/source 300mA but it is PWM only so it doesn't stay on all the time. You …
-
pblues, You will have to remove the battery to use the reset trick, otherwise you will have to wait for the battery on your MetaWear board to fully deplete before you can reset it. Please try to take all of your BLE devices far out of range fr…
-
Sidd, 1. My recommendation is to use an external regulator off of the main battery. By the way, that's a lot of current (you might even need a second battery to power that monster!). 2. Don't use the 3V expansion pin to power anything more tha…

If the battery is plugged in you can't do the button reset trick. Thanks for the update VEmp3.
-
Oona, If it makes sense we can add this functionality in later firmware versions.
-
No problem aaronmb7!
-
Awesome Eric!!!!
-
siddrajput, Can you also tell us more about what you would like to do using a PythonAPI with MetaWear? Maybe there is some way we can help.
-
siddrjput, You will have to write your own Ubuntu driver for MetaWear since we do not currently have any Linux libraries. You can email us for details.
-
edumana, ANCS is not guaranteed by Apple standards (sometimes it can miss one notification out of 100 and that is ok). Perhaps you just need to trigger a few more times to set it up. For me this is what works: 1) First delete all my old notif…

pblues, You can email the data to anyone (including yourself) for processing. You can send it to pblues@gmail.com or my_email@gmail.com (any email you want to send the data to that you can access). Make sure that your phone is connected to the…
