Are you compiling for your iPhone or for the simulator? Can you check this first? Also you can try restarting Xcode and plugging your iPhone back in to your machine to make sure it is properly detected. Let me know how it goes.

Do you want to add your own button or do you want to use the on-board MetaWear button? You can add an event that triggers on the button press with the on-board button: [device.mechanicalSwitch.switchUpdateEvent programCommandsToRunOnEvent:^{ …

VEmp3, Android must be permanently connected to your MetaWear board. You should turn off the Bluetooth on your Android phone (the one with the Activity tracker App on it) and make sure your Android phone is not within connection distance of your b…

mdd, I will add this idea to my list of projects to do and blog about at http://projects.mbientlab.com. -Laura

mdd,I would recommend attaching these types of sensors, it's very easy to do with MetaWear: https://www.adafruit.com/products/466 http://www.adafruit.com/products/164 (beware of this sensor since it needs 5V input so you will need a bigger batte…

golfngold, Can you try using the MetaWear App to reset the board (instead of the Activity Tracker App)? Let me know how that goes.

Not ideal I agree but there is no other way for the time being. For our projects it is never really an issue because your log will look something like this: Timestamp: 12.32002 Event: X Data Timestamp: 12.32005 Event: Z Data So it is really eas…

I will be adding examples shortly at http://projects.mbientlab.comThere is I2C documentation at http://docs.mbientlab.com

Two things:1) Upgrade to the pods, the framework is no longer used. 2) Make sure you are compiling for an iPhone plugged in to your computer and not the Simulator
-
lwoodson,We can certainly do that. I can create a repository in our projects github page for you. You should send us an email so we can set it up.
-
Derek, it is for logging.
-
Also check out www.mbientlab.com/gettingstarted and look at my youtube videos. But first and foremost get familiar with Xcode and cocoaPods.
-
The cocoa pods are already in the sample apps so they should already work. Here's a tutorial on installing pods: https://guides.cocoapods.org/using/using-cocoapods.html My advice is to get a friend with xcode expertise to help you get going si…

You just need to change the xcode project to use your Apple developer account credentials before you build and run it.
-
I just ran the App myself and it ran fine with the latest github code and xcode Version 6.2 (6C131e).What device are you trying to run the code on? Maybe your iphone is too old? Can you send me some more information about your setup since I can't r…

Can you try a fresh sample ios code install from the latest github repo? it looks like a link has been mistakenly deleted here in the tableview.

Thanks for lettings us know joey

The continuous scanning is the default behavior of the iOS App. It will stop scanning after you connect to a device.
-
Oh no, otherwise I wouldn't mind getting together and building something! Let us know if you are ever in the bay.
-
Hey heliboy, Are you in the bay area by any chance?
-
What are you trying to build exactly?PS: some links get marked as spam and are auto deleted.

We actually already use the raspi with the MetaWear often; just buy a BLE dongle and use open source BLE Raspi libraries and you are good to go!
-
Post it on imgur and add the link to this thread.

A few things to watch out for. First make sure your board is still working; it might have been overloaded with the previous setup and no longer works. Second, it would be preferable to hook up some protective circuitry from the battery to the 3V pi…

I looked up the data sheet for the part KPM12A-3C: GENERALKPM-08A-3AKPM-12ARated Voltage 3 VDC 3 VDCOperating Voltage2.0-3.2 V2.0-3.2 VRated Current<300 mA<460 mA Basically you should not hook up the 3V to pin 11 of the board; instead…

No worries Jonas. You should take a look at what some similar product are doing as a work around.
